How much does it cost to start and produce a podcast?
Podcast cost depends on what you do yourself and what you hand off: equipment, editing, video, clips, live producing and studio time. See our pricing page for current prices, or book a free discovery call.
What actually drives the cost of a podcast?
- Your time. Recording is the small part. Planning, guest booking, editing, clipping and posting take most of the hours.
- Equipment. A decent microphone and headphones per speaker. Video adds cameras and lighting.
- Editing depth. A light trim costs far less than a carefully paced, cleaned and mixed episode.
- Video. Editing video and making vertical clips takes more work than audio alone.
- Live producing. A producer in the session costs more up front and saves problems later.
- Studio time. Optional. Many shows record remotely.
How much does it cost to start a podcast yourself?
You can start for little more than a microphone and free software, if your own time is free. The real cost of the DIY route is hours: learning to edit, cutting clips and keeping a release schedule. We are happy to talk through the trade-off on a discovery call.

How do I keep podcast costs down?
Record clean audio, keep episodes focused, batch your recordings, and only buy the deliverables you will actually use. If you only need editing, we can arrange a single service on the discovery call.
